  • Ludo van der Heyden
    Emeritus Professor of Technology and Operations Management,, The INSEAD Chaired Professor of Corporate Governance

    Ludo Van der Heyden has been Professor of Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD since 1988 and has been the INSEAD Chaired Professor in Corporate Governance since October 2010. He is the founding Academic Director of INSEAD’s Corporate Governance Initiative (ICGI) and, with colleagues, still co-directs the International Directors Programme and the Modern Governance in Banking (or IDP for Bankers, with Peter Nathanial).

    He created the Value Creation for Owners and Directors programmes (with Massimo Massa). He directed the Advanced Management Program (INSEAD’s most senior general management programme, from 2000 to 2008), the INSEAD Zentrum Leipzig (1994-1999), was co-Dean of INSEAD (1990-1995), and also PhD Director & Associate Dean for Research (1989-1990).

    Before joining INSEAD, Ludo Van der Heyden was on the faculty of the School of Organization and Management at Yale University (1980-1988) and of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University (1978-80). He holds an Engineering Degree in Applied Mathematics from the Université Catholique de Louvain (1974) and a Ph.D. Degree in Administrative Sciences from Yale University (1979).

    In 1992, Adrian Mihai together with his brother Neculai Mihai founded Mihelga company witch main activity was to collect old iron. Six years later Felix Patrascanu joined him and his brother Neculai Mihai and founded FAN Courier in 1998.

    Today FAN Courier ranks 12th in Top 100 most famous and long-standing Romanian brands and currently is market leader in his segment of activity. In the 20 years since its establishment, the founders of FAN Courier have approved investments of over 135 million euros.

    Leo Gherghina is one of the most experienced people in the local investment fund industry.

    With an MBA in aircrafting enginnering and multiple certifications from INSEAD Business School for the World, Leo started to work in private equity industry in 1996 and it is within Value4Capital, a company that manages an investment portfolio including the one owend by MedLife.

    He has a relevant experience in corporate governance, his input in the system of rules, practices and processes are valuable for every company.

    Dl Sergiu Oprescu are o vastă experienţă pe pieţele bancare şi de capital din România, cu o carieră de peste 30 de ani în sectorul financiar. Acesta deţine o Diplomă de Master în Inginerie Aerospaţială cu specializarea în Avionică de la Facultatea de Aeronautică, Universitatea Politehnică din Bucureşti, obţinând între timp o diplomă postuniversitară în domeniul financiar de la Universitatea din Colorado şi a urmat numeroase studii de programe executive la Harvard Business School (HBS Alumni PPL promoţia 2019) şi London Business School (LBS Alumni).

    S-a alăturat băncii Alpha Bank România în 1994 şi a deţinut mai multe funcţii de conducere înainte să fie numit Preşedinte Executiv în anul 2007. A activat în calitate de Preşedinte al Bursei de Valori Bucureşti între anii 2000 şi 2006 si ca Preşedinte al Consiliului Director al Asociaţiei Române a Băncilor intre anii 2015 şi 2021.

    În 2019 a fost numit Director General al Reţelei Internaţionale a Grupului Alpha Bank şi membru al Comitetului Executiv al Grupului, supervizând activitatea internaţională a băncii Alpha in Cipru, România, Albania, Marea Britanie şi Luxemburg. În 2023 a fost ales vicepreşedinte al Federaţiei Europene a Creditului Ipotecar – European Mortgage Federation.

    CEO, Raiffeisen Bank Romania

    Steven van Groningen, was born in in the Netherlands but have lived the last 18 years in Romania, Russia and Hungary. He spent close to 15 years in Romania. Since 2002 is president and CEO of Raiffeisen Bank Romania, one of the largest banks in the country. He likes to be successful at what his doing, while maintaining a reasonable balance in life. He worked all his professional life in banking.

    Steven van Groningen is also a member of the board for nominees at Fondul Proprietatea, a blogger and the most stable bank president.

    Dr. Rosetti is an Operating Partner at J.C. Flowers & Co. Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Rosetti served as CEO of Mirabank, where she set up the business as a green field project. Previously, she also served as CEO for various banks within the ProCredit group in Europe, leading them through critical turnarounds, mergers and operational changes. She has extensive executive management expertise in banking in Central and Eastern Europe, with a specific focus on improving, building, and revamping institutions to deliver results, often by designing solutions that include organization and business model transformation.

    Dr. Rosetti serves on the Board of Directors for First Bank Romania (formerly Piraeus Bank Romania). Dr. Rosetti holds a B.A. degree in Mathematics and a M.A. degree in Economics from the University J.W. Goethe in Frankfurt am Main, and a PhD from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest. As an Operating Partner, Dr. Rosetti receives compensation from certain JCF funds and portfolio companies.

     

     

  • Ana Maria Mihaescu

    Since 2017 she has been an independent director in Administrative and Supervisory Boards at Raiffeisen Bank Romania, Medlife SA, Black Sea Oil and Gas, ICME or Friends of the National Museum of Art, mixing the economic activity with volunteering.

    Ana Maria Mihaescu has had a successful career locally and internationally. She contributed to the establishment of Eximbank, acting as Director, Vice President and eventually President of the bank. Another 25 years followed with the World Bank Group, acting as Regional Manager over the past ten years and coordinating the IFC activity in 11 European countries, from Bucharest.
